How important are pets to your soul’s purpose?
I love the movie, “A Street Cat Named Bob” because it shows what I mean about the Soul’s Home® ingredient – Household Member Harmony. In your Soul’s Home®, household members including pets support you in living your soul’s purpose.
The movie is based on the true story of James Bowen – a street musician and recovering heroin addict whose family has rejected him. James finds a wounded cat outside his London flat. After trying to find the owner, James nurses the cat back to health, adopts him and names him – Bob. Bob follows James on to the bus as he rides to Covent Garden to play guitar. People are so enamored by Bob that James makes more money than he ever has.
From then on, James and Bob are inseparable. Bob the cat gives James the support and inspiration he needs to make it through the drug addiction withdrawal and lead a sober life. Without Bob, James likely would have died from drug addiction.
It’s now 10 years later and Bob & James live in a London home where James writes books about his miracle. For James, the household member in his Soul’s Home® was a matter of life and death. Bob literally saved his life.
While your life situation may not be as dire, if you do have a pet, give her or him a hug right now and say, “Thank you for feeding my soul.”
If you feel moved, write about this below because sharing is good for your soul. Next time, we’ll explore the: Do’s and Don’ts in the Bedroom.
Until next week, I wish you well on your journey.
