Is your Soul’s Home® the same as your forever home? I raise this question because I often help people who feel that they are living in the wrong place. When we dive deeper, we find that while they aren’t living in their forever home, they are living in their Soul’s Home®.
How can this be? You see, your Soul’s Home® is wherever your soul is calling you to live now. Your Soul’s Home® could also be your forever home. But often, your Soul’s Home® is not your forever home. It all depends upon your soul’s purpose for this time in your life.
For example, suppose you went to college and moved out of your parent’s home to a place that was conducive to the college life. After college you lived in a place that was convenient to your first job and dating. Then once you found a mate, you lived in a place that worked to start a family.
Just because your soul’s purpose included starting a family down the line, your soul probably wouldn’t call you to buy a three-bedroom house with a white picket fence when you moved from your parent’s house to go to college. The home that feeds your soul as a spouse and parent would likely be a burden to you as a college student. So, it just wouldn’t make sense.
Just as you may have had visions of a family home in the future while you were in college, you may also have visions of your future or forever home now. But your soul may be calling you to live in a different house for now. Even if you’re clear that it wouldn’t make sense to live in your forever home now, it can be difficult to know if your current home is your Soul’s Home®. To do this, start by tuning into your soul to hear your soul’s purpose for this part of your life. If you need help with that, check out Episode 05.
Once you know your short-term purpose, look at your home to determine if it supports that purpose or not. When your little p or short-term purpose changes or something about your home changes you can re-evaluate to see if your home is still your Soul’s Home®.
