How to Prepare your Soul’s Home® for the Holidays – Use Your Spiritual Purpose for the Holiday as Your Guide

How do you prepare your Soul’s Home® for the holidays?

December is typically a month of preparing our homes for the holidays. To approach home preparation soulfully, first recognize your spiritual purpose for the holiday.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice or something else, connect to its meaning for you. Then think about what’s happening in your life and those you’ll see over the holidayAsk, “What’s the spiritual  purpose of the holiday for me or us?”

So for example, if a baby’s been born, maybe the spiritual purpose is to surround the child with love and nurturing; if someone’s introducing a new love interest, the spiritual purpose may be to make them feel a part of the family; if there’s been a death, the spiritual purpose may be to support each other in your grievingif someone is sick, the spiritual purpose may be to offer healing love.

Once you know the spiritual purpose of the holiday for you, ask your soul how to align it with your faith tradition.  Then you can base all your home preparations to support you in living that spiritual purpose.

Whether you’ll be home for the holiday or visiting someone else, I hope you’ll be able to hear how your soul wants your home to support you in living the spiritual purpose of your holiday season.

We’ll be off next week to observe the holiday but return January 2nd to find out how the Souls’ Home® ingredient – Health nourishes your soul.

Until next time, I wish you well on your journey.
