What’s most important to sell high soulfully?
The last of the six P’s to selling high soulfully is People. Sometimes, buyers, sellers and agents believe that the people on the other side of the transaction are crazy!
Requests and discoveries during negotiations always have the potential to hurt feelings. There’s a lot at stake for both sides. It’s easy for the ego to take our fears and run with them, creating an “us” against “them” mentality. But approaching a real estate transaction like this is rarely soulful. To be soulful, we must see our interactions and negotiations first about serving all the people involved and second, about the physical structure of the house and the money.
For the transfer to take place soulfully, it’s important to treat each other with respect and not jump to conclusions that the other side is crazy. If they make a request that seems crazy, getting more information about why they need it is the first step to finding a win-win solution. Not only is this the soulful thing to do, it’s also the strategy that will get you the best deal.
Buyers who feel respected by sellers who genuinely care about making the house and transaction something that will work for them are easier to deal with and more likely to pay more than those who feel slighted. That helps you as the Seller by simplifying the transaction, maximizing your returns and allowing you to pass the torch so you can let go and move on to your Soul’s Home®.
