What does Halloween mean to you?
Let’s make Halloween part of your Soul’s Home®!
Halloween honors the souls of the dead in many cultures and religions. But what does Halloween mean to you?
Whether it’s religious or cultural for you, Halloween can be a part of your Soul’s Home® by making it about spreading the love. It spreads the love by promoting household member harmony with a fun family tradition. But wait! There’s more!
Halloween spreads the love throughout the Community. It’s the one day a year that people around the world open their doors to friends and strangers alike. Halloween is the largest act of coordinated community there is.
We enjoy the innocence and exuberance of youth and spread the love with a small gift. As a child, I was excited about Halloween because I could pretend to be something I wasn’t and get lots of yummy candy. But looking back, what I appreciate more is the love I received.
I felt the love of my mother who went out of her way to be sure we had the costumes our hearts desired. I felt the love of my parents in the careful selection of the homes we would visit to ensure our safety. I felt the love of neighbors who opened their doors to tell us adoringly how beautiful or scary or cute we looked and how much we’d grown from the year before. I felt love for children around the world who were less fortunate than we, as I collected pennies in my UNICEF box for them. I felt love for my siblings when we returned home and spread our candy on the floor to make trades for our favorites.
So tonight, as you go out trick-or-treating or receive trick-or-treaters at your door, feel the love, spread the love, be the love and as a worldwide community we’ll all be a bit closer to our Soul’s Homes®.
I hope you’ll be able to feel the love in your community because I want your home to feed your soul. If you want my help finding your Soul’s Home®, I’d love to talk with you. Just click Contact Me to get in touch.
